It’s hard to
believe we are now well over half way through the year and year 6 will be doing
their SATS tests next week- how time flies!
As we are
sure your children will tell you, the last few weeks have been very busy with
lots of revision in maths and English. We are really proud of all the children
and the effort they have put in, especially the way they conducted themselves
in school on Thursday. We have no doubt they are more than ready to go!
Apart from
revision, we have nearly completed our Ancient Greek topic and the children are
looking forward to making their Greek theatre masks in DT next week. In Science,
the children have also been enjoying our new topic: Evolution and Adaptation.
No homework has
been set this weekend to enable the children to rest and relax, ready for an
enthusiastic start on Monday. The timetable for the week is as follows:
Tuesday:
SPAG
Wednesday: Arithmetic
and Reasoning 1
Thursday: Reasoning
2
We hope you
all have a lovely weekend; the children really deserve it. Pupils of Elm and
Elder, we are so proud of all you have achieved so far this year!
